2) The data we collect

a) Data you provide directly

  • Identity & contact: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, country/region, preferred intake.
  • Academic profile: transcripts, test scores (IELTS/TOEFL/GRE/GMAT/SAT), CV/resumé, statement of purpose, recommendation details.
  • Preferences: desired countries/programs, budget, scholarship interest.
  • Communications: messages sent via forms, email, chat, or social media.
  • Marketing: newsletter opt-in/opt-out selections, survey responses.
  • Payment (if applicable): if we accept online payments, they are processed by secure third-party processors; we do not store full payment card data on our servers.

b) Data collected automatically

  • Technical: IP address, device type, OS, browser, language, pages viewed, time on page, referring URLs.

c) Data from third parties

Scholarship/testing partners, analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising platforms, social networks, and—with your consent—referees or counselors who share your documents for applications.

We do not intentionally collect special categories of data (e.g., health, religion) unless you voluntarily provide them where relevant to an application and with your explicit consent.

5) How we share information

  • Application partners: universities, testing bodies, scholarship organizations (with your authorization).
  • Service providers (processors): hosting, CRM/email, analytics, task/project tools, secure file transfer. They are bound by confidentiality and data-processing agreements.
  • Legal & compliance: regulators, authorities, to protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business changes: in a merger or reorganization, your data may transfer subject to this Policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

6) International Transfers

We operate globally. When we transfer personal data outside your country (e.g., to the U.S., UK, EU/EEA, or partner destinations), we implement appropriate safeguards such as:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs),
  • UK International Data Transfer Addendum,
  • Contracts with universities/scholarship bodies requiring adequate protection.

7) Data retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described or as required by law:

  • Inquiry & consultation records: 24 months from last interaction.
  • Client/application files: up to 7 years after matter closure.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics data: per provider defaults, stored in aggregate where possible.

We will delete or anonymize data when retention periods expire, unless we must retain it for legal reasons.

8) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/SSL), access controls, least-privilege principles, and vetted processors. No system is 100% secure; if a breach risks your rights, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

10) Children’s privacy

Our Services are intended for individuals 16+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact info@scholyhubconsultants.com and we will address it promptly.

11) Third-party links

Our Site links to external resources (e.g., scholyhub.com scholarship pages, universities, testing bodies). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review those sites’ policies before providing information.

12) Marketing communications

You will receive marketing communications only if you opt in or where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe via email footer links or by contacting info@scholyhubconsultants.com. Service/transactional emails (e.g., case updates) are not marketing and will continue as needed.

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
